Mihai Albata
Chartered Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist & Rehabilitation Practitioner
Mihai Albata’s path to massage and rehabilitation therapy began after experiencing a serious knee injury while playing handball. Going through his own recovery sparked a lasting interest in movement, strength, and the body’s ability to adapt and heal with the right support.
Education and Training
Mihai has an extensive academic background in rehabilitation and movement sciences. He completed a BSc in Physiotherapy in Bucharest (2007-2010) before earning an MSc in Motor and Somato Functional Recovery – Rehabilitation (2012-2014). In 2024, he further expanded his skill set by becoming a certified Pain Free Performance Specialist in London.
Since beginning his professional career in 2010, Mihai has developed his practice around evidence-based techniques and an individualised approach to care.
Focus and Interests
Mihai has a particular interest in working with sports injuries, postural imbalances, and shoulder-related concerns. His approach blends highly developed manual therapy skills with modern tools, including Focus Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, to provide a tailored plan for each client.
An Active Approach to Care
With a strong background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and a personal passion for CrossFit and fitness, Mihai recognises the importance of keeping the body resilient and capable. He combines hands-on techniques, shockwave therapy, and thorough biomechanical assessments to identify contributing factors and support recovery.
His philosophy centres on helping people stay active, strong, and able to do the things they enjoy – whether that means training at a high level, returning to recreational sport, or simply moving with greater ease in daily life.
What to Expect
During a typical session, Mihai works collaboratively with clients to create individualised strategies that aim to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. He also places strong emphasis on education, giving people the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their long-term wellbeing. His advice? “Keep moving. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or trying to prevent one, staying active in a safe, structured way is key to long-term health.”
Beyond the Clinic
When he’s not working with clients, Mihai enjoys staying active through CrossFit and hiking, reflecting the same energy and commitment to movement that he brings to his professional life.
